Web Mapping with ArcGIS Online
Goal: Provide an overview of web mapping tools to UC Cooperative Extension affiliates, with practical instructions for using these tools within your program(s).
Workshop Content: This workshop is designed for participants with little to no GIS or web mapping experience. Following a brief lecture, the workshop will include an interactive exercise that will have you building your own web maps with ArcGIS Online. This exercise will conclude with you selecting one or more templates to build your own Story Map on a topic of your own choosing.
Requirements: Participants must bring a laptop computer and have an ArcGIS Online account set up prior to the workshop.
ArcGIS Online - Directions for accessing ArcGIS Online will be e-mailed to you the week before the event. UC ANR affiliated participants will be set up with a free enterprise account through the IGIS Statewide Program. Non-ANR affiliates can sign up for a free ArcGIS Online Developers account by Clicking Here. Please login to the account in advance of the workshop to ensure that it is properly set up before the workshop date.

Cost: This is a free workshop; however, UC Cooperative Extension affiliates will receive priority registration for the training. Non-UC registrations are welcome to register, however confirmation of non-UC applications will be postponed until the week of August 21st, based upon space availability subject to UC affiliated attendance.
Costs will be jointly supported by UC Cooperative Extension and the UC IGIS Stateside Program.
